Refund Policy

Last updated: March 2026

We want you to feel confident about your subscription. If Sarthey is not the right fit, here is exactly how refunds work.

Who can request a refund

Any paying subscriber on a Planner or Navigator plan can request a refund within 14 days of a charge. This applies to first payments, renewals, and plan upgrades.

Explorer (free) users have no charges and therefore no refund eligibility. Trial periods that convert to paid are eligible from the date of the first charge.

How refunds are calculated

Refund amounts are calculated pro-rata based on how long ago the charge was made. The sooner you request, the higher the refund.

Time since chargeRefund amountExample
Within 24 hours100% of the chargeCharged $9.99 yesterday, request today → $9.99 refunded
Within 7 days50% of the chargeCharged $9.99 five days ago → $5.00 refunded
After 7 daysNo refundYou keep access through the end of your billing period

Refund windows are measured from the exact timestamp of the charge, not the calendar date. All amounts are calculated in the currency you were charged in.

What happens after a refund

  • Your plan is downgraded to Explorer immediately. Premium features become unavailable.
  • Your timing data, history, and account are preserved. Nothing is deleted.
  • The refund is processed back to your original payment method. Allow 5-10 business days for the amount to appear on your statement.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with the refund amount and transaction reference.

How to request a refund

Email support@sarthey.com with the subject line “Refund Request.” Include:

  1. The email address associated with your Sarthey account
  2. The approximate date of the charge
  3. A brief reason (optional, but helps us improve)

We aim to respond within 2 business days. If approved, the refund is processed immediately and you will receive a confirmation email.

Exceptions and special cases

  • Duplicate chargesRefunded in full regardless of timing. Contact support with both transaction references.
  • Service outageIf Sarthey was unavailable for an extended period during your billing cycle, you may be eligible for a pro-rata credit or refund.
  • Plan changesUpgrading mid-cycle charges the difference. Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal. Unused premium time from an upgrade is not automatically refunded.
  • ChargebacksIf a chargeback is filed, we will review the account and work to resolve the dispute. Service access continues during review.

Cancellation vs. refund

Cancellation stops future charges. Your premium access continues until the end of your current billing period. No money back. You can cancel anytime from Settings.

Refund returns money for a past charge. Premium access ends immediately. Use this when you want your money back, not just to stop future billing.
